'56 Chevy - A Classic Car With New Muscle and Modern Comfort
Bob Evans (no not the one with the restaurant) came to JL Fabrication looking for the expertise to finish a project begun many years ago to restore and update his '56 Chevy.
When Bob brought us his car, it had the engine and transmission in it, but the remainder of the car was gutted. This fabrication/restoration project is a perfect example of the way we can take a vehicle at almost any stage and do the work necessary to bring the dream to reality.
Bob wanted his ’56 Chevy to have that “classic” look along with some modern conveniences. So JL Fabrication helped build the interior and do some additional work on the exterior as well.
We added: powered Cadillac seats, a chrome tilt steering column, digital instrumentation, a Vintage Air a/c system, disc brakes, a Corvette front end suspension, an engine cover and 17” wheels.
This ’56 Chevy is powered by a 350 LS1 engine with automatic overdrive.

Note the interior shots of the finished dashboard and the Vintage Air a/c system that adds a ton of comfort without detracting from the "clean" dashboard look.
As an authorized Viantage Air dealer, JL Fabrication sells Vintage Air systems directly from our web site. Just click on the "Parts/Accessories" tab and go to the Vintage Air category.
